Sri Avinashilingam Home Science College for Women was established by Avinashilingam Education Trust in 1957 with 45 students. It is a deemed university as Section 3 of the UGC Act in June 1988. it also offered 2 years MBA program.

Application form can be taken from Registrar Office by paying on cash and sending DD of 500/- in favour of the Registrar, Avinashilingam University for Women payable at Coimbatore. Candidates can also download the application form from the website and submit the filled-in application with required fee of Rs.500/- and Rs.250/- (for SC/ST Candidates).
Eligibility:
1. Women graduate with Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering or Technology with 50% marks from university that is approved by UGC
2. Final year candidates can also apply
