The Indian Institutes of Technology are institutions of national importance established through an Act of Parliament. Indian institute of technology joint entrance exam (IIT-JEE) is an examination for the students who what to pursue engineering as their bachelor’s degree.

IIT JEE 2010 Eligibility criteria:
(i) The candidate applying for JEE 2010 must be either passed in 2008 qualifying examinations of should be appearing in the 2010 qualifying examination. For the list of qualifying examinations and alternative qualifying examinations please refer the respective IIT sites.
(ii) The candidate can only give the JEE two times that too in two consecutive years.
(ii) Any candidate who has accepted admission in any of, IT-BHU, Dhanbad, Varanasi and ISMU is not liable to sit in the IIT-JEE examination.

IIT JEE 2010 Exam pattern:
The candidates will get two objective type question papers and each paper will be divided into 3 sections namely physics, chemistry and mathematics. The answers are to be given on an ORS sheet and negative marking also applies.

IIT JEE 2010 Method of Examination
The exam will be held on 12-04-09 which is Sunday. The duration of both exams is 3hrs and the first exam will begin at 9:00am in the morning and the second paper will start at 2:00pm.




IIT JEE 2010 How to Apply
The application form can be obtained by cash payment or By DD of Rs. 1000/- for ( Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD/Female ) dawn in favour of “Chairman, JEE, IIT Madras” payable at Chennai.

(ii) The complete application should be sent to Chairman, JEE, IIT Madras, Chennai - 600 036. Along with fee DD10th Class Pass Certificate to fill correct Name, Date of Birth, and Parent/Guardian Name.
