Indian Army Admissions for Bsc / General Nursing / GNM programme 2010
The institute invited application form for from FEMALE candidates for admission to 4 years BSc (Nursing) course commencing in Aug 2010 at College of Nursing AFMC Pune and 3½ years Training in Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery course commencing in Sep 2010 at various Armed Forces Hospitals.

Eligibility Criteria
(i) The candidate should have passed 10+2 with 60% marks and Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum 50% aggregate marks as a regular student.
(ii) Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing for final year of qualifying examination during the current academic session may also apply.
(iii) The Candidate must be India with Date of Birth - Between 01 Jan 84 and 01 Jan 92
(iv) Female who are unmarried or divorcee/legally separated or widow without encumbrances.


Physical eligibility Criteria
Standards –
(i) Medical fitness will be determined as per Military Standards by Military Authorities.
(ii)X-Ray examination of Chest will be done. Minimum height should be 142 cms.

Selection process
(i) Eligible applicants will be called for an objective type written test of 90 minutes duration covering the topics in General English, Biology and General Intelligence, likely to be held in Jan/Feb 2010.
(ii) The parts of question paper pertaining to Biology and General Intelligence will be bilingual.
(iii) Candidates as per merit on the basis of written test will be called for interview during Mar/April 2010.
(iv) Final selection will be as per combined merit, subject to medical fitness.

Medical Examination:
After the interview the recommended candidates will have to appear for medical examination before a Special Medical Board (SMB), candidates declared FIT / UNFIT will be informed by the President of the Medical Board and regarding the procedure for requesting for APPEAL/REVIEW MEDICAL BOARD.
