Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research invites application form for all students who want to take admission in Ph. D., M. S. / M. S. (Engg.) courses. The majority of new students joining the Centre during the August semester each year are admitted, based on their performance in interviews carried out in the early summer.

Eligibility for Ph.D Programme:
(i) The Candidate should have passed M Sc., B E, B Tech, M E, M Tech or MBBS
(ii) They should have at least 50% in their highest University examination, and should also have qualified in the GATE / UGC - CSIR - NET, JRF / ICMR, JRF / JEST / or any other advanced entrance examination.
(iii) Candidates with a Master’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Medicine, however, do not require a qualifying exam.
MS (Eng.) / MS Eligibility:
(i) The Candidate should have passed M Sc., B E, B Tech, M E, M Tech or MBBS With 50% marks.
(ii) Should also have qualified in the GATE / UGC - CSIR - NET, JRF / ICMR, JRF / JEST / or any other advanced entrance examination. Candidates with a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/ Medicine, however, do not require a qualifying exam.
Eligibility for Integrated Ph. D.
(i) Candidates will be selected through an entrance test consisting of written examination (multiple choice questions) on chemistry, physics and mathematics followed by an oral examination.
(ii) Students who have passed a Bachelor’s degree in any branch of science or engineering or are appearing for final exam this year are eligible to apply, provided they secure a minimum of 55% marks in their degree.
