National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology Entrance Exam 2010
National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology centrally regulates academics for hospitality and hotel administration and other eleven structured courses of studies that are imparted at the existing 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management, 7 State Govt. The Three-Year programme equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector

Eligibility criteria
(i) The candidate should have passed 10+2 with English as one of the compulsory subject
(ii) Candidates from General and Physically Handicapped categories upper age limit is 22 years
(iii) . In the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates upper age limit is 25 years.

How to Apply:
(i)The application form can be obtained from Branches & affiliated IHMs is likely to start w.e.f. Feb 16, 2010 to April 10, 2010.
(ii) The Application form can be downloaded from website www.nchmct.org and forward their request by speed post /Registered Post only along with requisite demand draft (Rs. 850/- for general and OBC and Rs. 450/- for SC/ST/PH categories) drawn in favour of "NCHMCT" payable at Noida.
Proposed important dates (for M.Sc):
1. june – availability of application forms
2. First week of july – last date to submit completed application forms.
3. July – date of entrance examination
4. July – declaration of result
5. End of july – start of session
Proposed important dates (for B.Sc):
1. Feb to march – availability of application forms
2. End of march – deadline for submission of application forms
3. Mid april – date of examination
4. Mid june – counseling
5. Mid july – start of session
Examination method
The students for this programme will be selected through the joint Entrance Examination and it will be of three hours. Numerical Ability and Scientific Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language, and Aptitude for Service Sector will be tested in JEE. Question Paper will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi (except for English Language). For each question you will be awarded one mark if you have darkened only one bubble corresponding to the correct answer. In case you have not darkened any bubble or have darkened more than one bubble, you will be awarded zero mark for that question. There will be negative marking to the extent of half mark for darkening a wrong bubble. There will be no negative marking for Aptitude for Service Sector.
