Eligibility Criteria
MBA (Petroleum & Energy Management)
(i) Bachelor’s degree (4 years duration after 10+2) with 65% marks or C.P.I. of 7.0 in any branch of Engineering/ Technology. Mathematics must be one of the subjects in 10+2. Bachelors Degree must have AICTE recognition. (Photocopy of degree or provisional degree and Mark sheets of all semesters/years to be attached with the Application Receipt) OR Masters degree with 65% marks or C.P.I. of 7.0 in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Environmental Science, Applied Geological Sciences, Operational Research and Computational Science. (Photocopy of degree or provisional degree and Mark sheets of all semesters/years to be attached with Application Receipt)

(ii) Should have Qualified either in CAT (Nov 08), JMET 09 or GMAT (After June 2008) (Copy of Admit Card & Score card to be attached along with the Application Receipt)

(iii) Short listed applicants based on merit will be invited for selection process comprising of Group discussion and personal interview. Reservation policy as per Government of India’s directives.

(iv) Students will be short listed based on their meritorious academic performance. Not all those satisfying the minimum requirement are likely to be short listed.

MTech (Petroleum Engineering)
B.Tech degree in Petroleum/ Chemical /Mechanical Engineering with 65% marks or CPI of 6.5 and a valid GATE score. Sponsored candidates do not need a GATE score.

PhD (Petroleum Engineering) Full Time
M.Tech degree in Petroleum/ Chemical/ Mechanical Engineering with 65% marks or CPI of 7.0.
B.Tech/ B.E. Degree in above areas with 70% marks or CPI of 8.0 (for direct admission to PhD)

PhD (Petroleum Engineering) Part Time
M.Tech degree in Petroleum/ Chemical/ Mechanical Engineering with 65% marks or CPI of 7.0.
B.Tech/ B.E. Degree in above areas with 70% marks or CPI of 8.0 (for direct admission to PhD)


How to Apply
The application forms may be downloaded from the website www.rgipt.ac.in and the duly filled up application form may be submitted along with a demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- in favor of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, payable at New Delhi (Not Rae Bareli) to the Director, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Ratapur Chowk, Rae Bareli – 229 316, U.P. SUPERSCRIBE the envelope with the type of student against which application is made, like Regular (Full Time) or Sponsored (Full Time) etc. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the Interview.
