The functionality of SRM began from the year 2003-04 when the Medical and Health Sciences was opened and since then this examination is conducted each year. Eligibility criteria
Bachelors Degree in Medicine, Engineering, Dentistry, Ayurveda, Pyhsiotherapy, Veterinary Sciences with 50% aggregate marks. Other graduates 55% marks.

Application Forms and information brochures can be obtained by cash payment of Rs. Rs.1000/- for MDS and Rs.750/- for other courses form University Office , University Campus and branches of State Bank of India, Indian Bank, City Union Bank Limited, Karur Vysya Bank Limited and Post Offices. Or by DD for Rs.750.00 favouring SRMIST, payable at Chennai.
