UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2010
UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission. It is organized for the govt. jobs. Candidates can apply for any government job by filling the Union Public Service Comission (UPSC) application form.

Eligibility
1. Must be Indian.
2. Must be 21 years of age (5 years relaxation for SC/ST)
Examination pattern:
The exam will be held in 2 stages.
(i) Civil Service (Preliminary) Examinations (Objective Type) for the selection of candidates for Main Examination.
(ii) Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various services and posts.
Preliminary paper will consist of 2 papers. This is a screening test of objective type which carries 450 marks. Candidate must clear the preliminary test are eligible for admission into main examination. Main Examination will consist of a written examination and an Interview Test. The interview contains 300 marks. Marks obtained in exam will decide the final ranking. Candidates will be allotted to the various Services according to their ranks.
