TECHNICAL FESTIVAL SYNAPSE by DA-IICT INDIA

DA-IICT presents the Synapse ’09 with ideas in place to make it bigger and better than before. Synapse is the annual techno-cultural fest of DAIICT. Synapse is a juncture for novel ideas, intellectual stimulation, social awareness, creativity, cultural activities and the most important thing for having fun. Synapse aims to bridge the gap between the very diverse technical and cultural elements and from their confluence create an experience that they hope will last for a life time. The Centre for Entrepreneurship and Incubation at DA-IICT (CEID) is organizing Inc. - a Business Plan Competition as a part of Synapse 2010.



Eligibility:

Undergraduate and postgraduate from a recognized university and educational institutes across the country


Event Format:


Phase 1: Submission of an Executive Summary of a business concept.

Phase 2: Mentoring of the qualified teams by experts.

Phase 3: Final Presentation before a distinguished panel of judges.


Rules:

1) The registration details can be changed until the last date of registration by logging into the Edit Application page. This may include adding or dropping a team member.

2) The contest is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from all recognized universities and educational institutes across the country.

3) A team can consist of students from different institutes.

4) The team size may vary from 2-5.

5) A person can be a part of more than one team.

6) A team can submit more than one Business Plan, but will be required to register separately for each one.

7) A team can resubmit their Executive Summary any number of times before the last date of submission. In such cases the last entry would be considered as final.

8) The Executive Summary is to be uploaded at http://www.inc.studentbusinesses.com

9) A total of 7 teams would be selected to undergo mentoring by a group of experts in the field of entrepreneurship.?

10) The entries would be handled with utmost care by the judges, mentors and the organizers.

11) Any kind of plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification from the competition.

12) All contestants must strictly abide by the rules and regulations of the competition.

13) In case of any dispute, the decision of the judges and the organizers would be final.

14) All conflicts subject to jurisdiction of Gandhinagar courts only.
