Tezpur University Admissions 


The University campus is at Napaam about 15 km. East of Tezpur, the head quarter of Sonitpur District of Assam. The Napaam campus of the University is in a plot of an area of 242 acres (0.98 km2) of land. Tezpur University was established by an Act of Parliament in 1994. Tezpur University is a unitary type university. Tezpur University is the first university in India to offer the course Master of Technology in Computational Seismology and also one of the few universities in India to have its own Department of Energy.

Central library  
The Central Library, Tezpur University was established in 1994 along with the establishment of the University. The library has 43080 volumes of print collection and subscribed 249 titles of current journals, 476 electronic journals through different consortium, 2 databases and one knowledge portal. The library is providing access facility to 4904 e-journals,

Computer Centre  
AComputer Centre was established in 1997 to facilitate a common computational resource centre for the academic programmes as well as for maintenance of the other computing resources in the university.
 

Hostels Facilities  
The University provides residential accommodation to the students admitted to regular courses subject to the availability of hostel seats. There are 3 hostel for men and 3 hostel for Women.

The Charaideo Men's Hostel was inaugurated on 12th June, 2004 by Prof. P. Bhattacharyya, the then Vice-chancellor of the Tezpur University.
Nilachal
Nilachal Men's Hostel is presently the largest men's hostel of Tezpur University having the strength for accommodating more than 400 boarders.

Health Centre
Health Centre of Tezpur University has been functioning since 1995. It provides health care services to students, faculty and staffof Tezpur University. The Health Centre at present operates under the supervision of run by Tezpur University.
