Central Institute Of Fisheries Education (Deemed

University) (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) Versova, Bombay 400061 conducts an all India Competitive Written examination for admission to the M.Sc. (Fisheries Management) at Central Institute of Fisheries Education, J.P. Road, Kakori Camp, Seven Bungalows, Versova, Mumbai 400061 and M.Sc. 

(Inland Fisheries Administration & Management) at CIFE Mumbai/CIFE Centre of Inland Fisheries Training Centre, CICFRI Campus, Barrackpore, Kolkata, which starts in October is held in September at Mumbai and Kolkata. The exact venue of examination is indicated on the Admit Card.


Eligibility: The candidates having B.Sc. degree (with Zoology/Botany/ Che mis try/Fisheries are eligible to sit for the competitive Exam if they have at least 65% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade point average

 

(GPA) but SC/ST Candidates are eligible if they have 60% marks or equivalent GPA. Candidates having B.F.Sc. degree need to have minimum 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent accumulative grade point average of 3.44/5.00, 2.75/4.00 or 2.06/3.00 and 50% marks for SC/ST candidates or equivalent accumulative grade point average of 3.12/5.00, 2,50/4.00 or 1.87/3.00.


Candidates passing out from the education system of 10+2+4, 10+2+3 or 10+1+4 for first degree course are eligible to sit for Competitive Examination. Age: For admission to M.Sc. between 20 to 25 years (30 years for SC/ST candidates) as in December. Minimum residential requirement is two academic years in case of B.F.Sc. degree holders (10+2+4), and 3 years for other degree holders and B.F.Sc. degree holders with (10+2+3).
