It is conducted by Jawahar Lal Nehru Technological University (JNTU). Merit contained by the exam is decide the admission in various Government and private colleges in Andhra Pradesh. It is affiliated to JawaharLal Nehru Technological University.

1. Must be Indian and from Andhra Pradesh
2. Must be between 17 to 22 years of age (3 years less for SC/ST)

Sale of Application Forms: Mid of Feb, 2010
Last date for sale of Application Forms: Mid of Mar, 2010
Last date for receipt of completely filled Application Forms: End of Mar, 2010
Commencement of EAMCET Exam: Starting of May, 2010

Examination Pattern:

The exam will be of 160 MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) and of 3 hours. Each question carries 1 mark.
Questions in the exam will be divided as:
1. Mathematics – 80
2. Physics – 40
3. Chemistry – 40
