Uttar Pradesh Technical University UPTU was established on 8th May 2000. It is approved by government of Uttar Pradesh. It is situated at Lucknow. And provides various course of Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Town Planning, Pharmacy, and Applied Arts & Crafts. It is depend on AICTE approved. It is largest universities in the country having 250 colleges under it.

Courses offered:
• Bachelor courses:
 Engineering (B.Tech.)
 Pharmacy (B. Pharm.)
 Arthitecture (B.Arch)
 Hotel Management (BHMTC)
 Fashion & Apparel design Technology(BFAD)

• Post Graduate Courses:
 MCA
 MBA

• UPTU SEE will be conducted at these locations:
 24 cities of UP
 Delhi
 Roorkee
 Dehradun

Eligibility

Must have domicile of UP.
For Admission into B.Arch:
1. Candidate must have passed 12th class with at least 45% aggregate.
2. 5% relaxation is given to the SC/ ST candidates.
• For Admission into B.Arch:
 Candidate must have cleared 10+2 level with at least 50 % aggregate from the recognized University.
• For Admission into MBA:
 Candidate must have cleared minimum of 3 years of Bachelor’s Degree from the recognized University with at least 45 % aggregate.
• For Admission into MCA
 Candidate must have passed 3 years Bachelor degree course from the recognized University with at least 45 %marks.

Important Dates: 

 Commencement of Application Form: Mid of January, 2010.
 Last Date of receiving application form: Mid of February, 2010.
 Last date of submitting completed application form: Third week of February, 2010.
 Date of UPTU SEE: Third week of April, 2010.

Examination pattern:

 For B.H.M.C.T/ B.F.A.D. course: Aptitude test for General Awareness
 For MBA: Aptitude test for MBA
 For MCA: aptitude Test for MCA
 For B.Tech: Test will comprise of Physics , Chemistry, and Mathematics.
 For B, Arch: Test comprising of Mathematics and Aptitude Test
