UPSC CMSE 2010
Combined Medical Services Exam (CMSE) is held by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The examination will be conducted across the country on 18th Jan, 2010. 

Eligibility

1. Must be under 32 years of age till 1st Jan, 2010
2. Age limit for SC/ST/OBC is also satisfied.
3. Must have MBBS degree from any recognized University
4. Final year candidate can also apply

Important Dates:

Last date for receipt of completely filled application forms: 6th Oct, 2010
Last date for receipt of completely filled application forms for the students residing in abroad or remote areas: 13th Oct, 2010
Date of commencement of Exam: 18th Jan, 2010

How to Apply:

Application Form can be taken from Head Post Office/Post Offices at a payment of Rs.20. candidate should pay Rs.100 through a single Central Recruitment Fee Stamp. There is no pay for SC/ST. OBC candidates have to pay full fee.

Examination Pattern:
Part 1:

The exam will be of 500 marks with 2 sections of 250 marks each. The exam duration is 2 hours. There are 3 sections of exam:
1. General Ability - 30 Questions
2. General Medicine - 70 Questions
3. Paediatrics - 20 Questions

PART 2:

This section is of Personality Test. This is a 100 marks section. Three sections in this part also:
1. Surgery - 40 Questions
2. Gynaecology & Obstetrics - 40 questions
3. Preventive & Social Medicine - 40 questions
