Sri Krishnadevaraya University has facilities for undertaking study and research through well established library and laboratories. Sri Krishnadevaraya University was established in the year 1968. Sri Krishnadevaraya University is contributing to the cause of higher education through 112 affiliated degree colleges of which 7 are meant exclusively for women. The Post Graduate centre at Kurnool was brought under the jurisdiction of the University in the year 1993. 

Library  
The Central library of the University is provided with a rich and varied collection of 114000 books, 190 periodicals and 118 magazines and other holdings enriched primarily on account of the generous support extended by the UGC. The library extends photocopying facilities for the benefit of the users. The library has back volumes on the stacks numbering 13,600. Every student is provided with a set of three Cards for borrowingbooks.
