The University has a distinguished alumni body and faculty. The Governor of Jharkhand is the Chancellor of the Vinoba Bhave University. Vinoba Bhave University was established in the year 1992. The Vinoba Bhave University is located at Hazaribagh, India and is funded by Government of India. The university provides many graduate and Postgraduate Programmes. The post-graduate campus sprawl over acres of land in Patna-Ranchi national highway. The foundation stone of the University was laid on 17th January 1990 by the then Chief Minister of Bihar, Dr. Jagganath Mishra. This Universities is also a member of Association of Commonwealth Universities , London.

The University is Devided this hostel in two parts. The First part is only for boys and the second Part only for Boys.
