Course Structure:
The course comprises the following modules:

Module-I: Basics of retailing (42 hours)
1. Introduction to Retail Management
2. Retail Marketing Strategy and Marketing Mix
3. Basics of Merchandise Management
4. Basics of Store Operations
5. Store Design and Atmospherics
6. Retail Communication and Promotions
7. Customer Relationship Management

Module-II: Retail Selling Skills (48 hours)
1. Personal Selling Skills
2. Customer Service
3. Communication Skills
4. Personality Development and Grooming
5. Interpersonal Skills and Team-Building
6. Self-Motivation and Positive Attitude
7. Supervisory Skills
8. Interview Skills

Module III: Project Work (16 hours)
The student will have to undertake a project in the area of retailing. A project report for the same will need to be submitted at the end of the course as per the date notified.

Eligibility criteria
(i) The Candidate should have passed graduation in any stream.
(ii) Merit list for admission will be prepared on the basis of marks in qualifying examination.

Duration of Course: Three Months

Timing: Weekends (12 Saturdays + 3 Sundays)

Course Fee: Rs.7000/-
